Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 6 ea short ribs (thick cut)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic (granulated)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 cup onion (diced)
  • 3/4 cups green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1/2 cup red bell peppers (diced)
  • 2 ea cayenne pepper chopped or other spicy pepper (chopped)
  • 2 cups black-eyed peas
  • 4 cups water, cold
Instructions
  1. Combine salt, black pepper, garlic and paprika and mix until well blended then season beef.

  2. In a sauté or frying pan over medium high heat sear ribs on all sides until very nicely browned.

  3. Place seared ribs into crock pot then add peas, vegetables and water.

    Cover with top and set on low temp.

  4. Let cook for 8 hours.

    Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
