Lollipop Drumsticks are a really good way of having not just an appetizer but an easy eating and quick serving finger food.

Lollipop Buffalo Drumsticks are a great item to make for appetizer or entrée. I love serving these at parties and cookouts as a matter of fact I don’t use the breading and put then on the grill when I cook out. Everybody loves them. If you ever plan to make a lot of these put your freezer to work for you, just make a small amount every day and freeze them. You will have forty or fifty of them in no time.

Do Your Home Work

If you are going to serve an item like Lollipop Buffalo Drumsticks don’t just assume that blue cheese dip is everyone’s preference. Check with a few of your future guest to see what they like. You would be surprised what you end up with when you let other people participate a little in the menu planning.

Oh sure you can still astonish them with your surprise dishes too, but having other folks make suggestions adds a little fun to the game of cooking.

Always check for doneness.

Even though the drumsticks are dark meat you still don’t want them to dry out and you want to make sure that they cook completely. So, use an instant read thermometer to make sure they coo to 165°.

Stores well refrigerated and can be frozen

These chicken lollipops will keep for 72 hours in the refrigerator. They may also be frozen and should last 3 – 6 months.

To reheat

When you are ready to reheat leftover chicken from frig let set at room temperature for 30 – 40 minutes. Place chicken into a preheated 300° for about 10 – 15 minutes

From the freezer you should let the chicken lollipop drumsticks thaw under refrigeration overnight and then proceed with the same instruction from the refrigerator. If the chicken has not thawed out overnight let it set a room temp a little longer.
