When I was Young one of the first things I learned how to cook was spaghetti and meat sauce. This is one of those things that was handed down for one generation another to another and so on. With my Moms technique it was pretty simple, ground beef, tomatoes and spices. This is the basis for my spaghetti and meat sauce recipe. It’s a simple but flavorful combination of simple and easy to find ingredients.

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

Cook spaghetti as directed on package or to your liking, drain and set aside.
Cook and stir meat, onion and pepper until meat is almost brown and onion is tender.Drain and return to pan.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and let simmer 30 - 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serve meat sauce over hot spaghetti with Parmesan cheese.
